This collection alludes humorously to a nevertheless cognitively and intellectually remarkable and potentially dangerous instant for truth as a concept.

In January 2017, the White House counselor coined that term during a « Meet the Press » interview. She tried this way to defend the press secretary who had made the false assertion that the newly elected President drew the biggest inauguration crowd ever. A US news anchor countered that it was just to be called a lie, yet using another term: "Look, alternative facts are not facts. They’re falsehoods."

Back then, and in that particular case, trusted and verifiable photographic and video evidence, among other, clearly underpinned the facts. Yet beyond already known possibilities and practices of alterations, the more so in our AI times, one needs to apply an even stronger source-critical and careful verification before granting audiovisual material the status as absolute proof.

But rest reassured! This tongue-in-cheek collection passes this check, insignificant non-distorting changes notwithstanding (airconditioned, in out, wc, virtual reality simulation, no rubbish, opinions).
