homage to Vermeer
2023 -
in 2023 with some luck, I saw the Vermeer exhibition in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. His painting Het melkmeisje (The milkmaid) reminded me of my late partner who many years ago told me: whatever work one does, it is best done with dedication. This keeps you in the moment and adds special value. Some weeks later in 2023, I was again lucky to witness, recognise and capture the moment shown in “bakery, 2023”. Some others followed. They presented themselves differently but share the same dedication to the moment. I hope for many more.
